Harmony In The Jungle

One day a monkey was in the jungle swinging
When he heard the sweet voice of an animal singing
So the monkey decided to jump of the vine
And wander around to see who he could find
Looking through the bushes he saw a small bird
So that was the source of the sound he heard
The monkey came out and the bird sung again
The monkey began to sing with his new friend
Soon other animals joined, the lions and the bees
And the entire jungle sang in a beautiful harmony

The Power Of Imagination

Many underestimate the power of imagination
It's where ideas come to fruition, the center of creation
Usually when I'm alone, I ponder to my brain
And I find a thought which will leave me entertained
My mind holds many secrets, I can meditate and move a stone
Others usually do not know, to them it is unknown
If you are in a cold room your body may start to freeze
But use that brain power, and you will warm a few degrees
It was because of imagination that Dr King had his dream
And because of him we are now one, integrated on the same team
Using the inner most thoughts inside a person's dome
Is where we have the mental freedom to explore and to roam
So always visit the inner chambers of your mind
And maybe an idea is awaiting to help benefit mankind

A Letter From My Grandfather

To my family:

In order to contact you, I am using a paper and pen
Without further adue, let this letter begin
We come from a family where the people aren't quitters
Be a good sport and when you lose, there is no reason to be bitter
I know that you are missing me, be assured I am fine
I watch over all of you with the consistency that the sun shines
Carry yourself with class and hold your head high
Society will notice this and propel your success into the sky
Knowledge is powerful, take out time and remember to read
The information will be retained, providing you with what you need
Treat others with kindness, always have some courtesy stored
Be nice and inviting, anger isn't necessary, don't brandish your sword
I learned that life is the equivalent to an average game of chess
Be strategic, keep your pokerface, and eventually you will become the best
Since the day I left, I have missed you since
I love my grandchildren, farewell I have given you the blueprints
