A Letter From My Grandfather

To my family:

In order to contact you, I am using a paper and pen
Without further adue, let this letter begin
We come from a family where the people aren't quitters
Be a good sport and when you lose, there is no reason to be bitter
I know that you are missing me, be assured I am fine
I watch over all of you with the consistency that the sun shines
Carry yourself with class and hold your head high
Society will notice this and propel your success into the sky
Knowledge is powerful, take out time and remember to read
The information will be retained, providing you with what you need
Treat others with kindness, always have some courtesy stored
Be nice and inviting, anger isn't necessary, don't brandish your sword
I learned that life is the equivalent to an average game of chess
Be strategic, keep your pokerface, and eventually you will become the best
Since the day I left, I have missed you since
I love my grandchildren, farewell I have given you the blueprints
